USA – Aptar Beauty, a leading manufacturer of dispensing and packaging solutions for the beauty, personal care, and home care industry, has introduced its inaugural mono-material airless dispenser known as Mono Micro.
This innovative packaging solution is entirely crafted from polyethylene (PE), encompassing its container, actuator, outer cap, interior piston mechanism, and label. The dispenser has been certified 100% recyclable by the European evaluation institute, Institut cyclos-HTP.
Aptar Beauty engineered and produced Mono Micro at its airless technology specialist facility in Villingen, Germany.
Featuring a high evacuation rate, the top-fill piston system aims to reduce bulk waste, while the dispenser’s 360-degree dispensing capabilities and precise dosage per stroke enhance user-friendliness.
Designed for dermo-cosmetic and masstige brands committed to improving the end-of-life sustainability of their packaging, Mono Micro will initially launch for the Micro 30ml range, with a gradual expansion to the entire Micro range starting in 2024. The solution will also extend to the Mezzo 50ml range.
Aptar envisions incorporating post-consumer recycled resin, derived from mechanical or chemical recycling, into Mono Micro in the future.

Aptar develops Future Airless PET®
Additionally, Aptar Beauty, in collaboration with Pinard Beauty Pack, has developed Future Airless PET®, a fully recyclable and omnichannel airless packaging solution available in large sizes.
Achieving full recyclability, this solution combines Aptar’s Future PE pump with Pinard’s patented Airless PET bottle-in-bottle technology.
The flexible inner bottle within a rigid outer container offers the benefits of airless packaging, ensuring formula protection, compatibility with cosmetic formulas, a high restitution rate, and usage at any angle.
Future Airless PET complies with the highest standards in recyclability and includes options for post-consumer recycled material, offering customization possibilities for brand identity.
The product is expected to launch in mid-2024, featuring a 400ml bottle and a 28 Snap-on pump, with an optional non-detachable tamper-evident system.
