CHINA – Chinese digital press supplier General Inkjet Printing Technology (GIP) has announced plans to showcase its latest Label Modular HD Hybrid Press at Labelexpo South China 2024 in Shenzhen.
This innovative press integrates digital inkjet and traditional flexo printing technologies, offering a flexible and efficient solution for the label industry.
The Label Modular HD is the result of a collaboration between GIP, known for its expertise in digital inkjet technology, and Spande, a specialist in flexo printing.
The press features significant upgrades in design, performance, and configurability to meet the evolving needs of label producers.
The Label Modular HD features include Kyocera print heads, offering 1200×1200 DPI resolution and 8-color printing options, including CMYK, white ink, and three spot colors.
The press delivers both speed and precision, with a maximum printing width of 520mm and a top running speed of 150 meters per minute.
What sets the Label Modular HD apart is its highly modular design, allowing users to customize the press with additional units tailored to their production needs.
Optional configurations include flexo printing units, coating, cold/hot stamping, die-cutting, and laminating.
Each unit is equipped with a rail guide system, which enables the easy integration of turnover frames and peeling/laminating units.
According to GIP, the Label Modular series is ideal for small, medium, and large production runs, offering a balance between efficiency and quality.
“This press provides a versatile solution that caters to diverse production scales, helping customers achieve high-quality output and enhanced productivity,” a company spokesperson noted.
Xuebin Huang, CEO of GIP, emphasized the significance of this launch. “This is another innovation following our success at drupa with the 1200×1200 DPI digital press,” Huang said.
“In September, we showcased the Label Modular series at Labelexpo Americas 2024 in Chicago, and the response exceeded our expectations.
“We look forward to debuting this product at Labelexpo South China 2024 and engaging with global converters. Join us at booths B1 and D3.”
With this latest offering, GIP aims to solidify its position as a leader in hybrid printing technology, providing advanced, customizable solutions for the evolving label market.
