USA – Film and paper packaging machinery specialist Hugo Beck is expanding its activities and presence within North America with the appointment of SAVVY Print Solutions as its dedicated sales representative in the region.
SAVVY Print Solutions will leverage Hugo Beck’s machines to reduce plastic film usage to support customers’’ sustainability goals.
SAVVY co-founder Bob Thompson, who has worked with some of the world’s most famous companies, providing consultancy and project management to help businesses choose the right packaging machinery and materials, will lead Hugo Beck’s expansion initiatives.
Bob Thompson said: “High quality, productivity and flexibility are key drivers in purchasing decisions for machinery – and these are all factors that Hugo Beck has put at the heart of its product range over the past 65 years.
“The SAVVY portfolio in North America will now include paper packaging machines from Hugo Beck, especially the flowpack X – a horizontal flow wrapper that runs with paper, to reduce customers’ usage of film.”
The flowpack X provides customers across multiple industries with ultimate flexibility and security when working with a variety of packaging materials.
Suitable for heat and cold-sealable paper-based packaging materials, the flowpack X achieves optimal processing of the most diverse materials including barrier paper, kraft paper, offset paper, parchment paper and other papers with PE, PLA or dispersion coatings.
Dependent upon the sealability of the wrapping material, the flowpack X can achieve capacities of up to 160 packs per minute.
With all product contact surfaces being manufactured from stainless steel and FDA-approved blue color transport belts, the machine is ready for packaging also food grade products.
The integration of devices such as printing systems, the execution in CE, EAC or according to North American Standards with UL certification, with control systems from either Siemens or Rockwell Automation this Hugo Beck flowpack machine fits packaging applications all over the world.
