UAE – With Paperworld Middle East just around the corner, the highly anticipated Paperworld Awards 2024 finalists have been announced.
The awards will highlight innovation, creativity, and sustainability in the stationery, office supplies, and paper products industries and recognize top-performing companies and products across 12 categories.
An independent panel of industry experts will judge the finalists, and the winners will be revealed during a special ceremony at Paperworld Middle East, set to take place from November 12 to 14 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Reflecting on the awards, Syed Ali Akbar, Show Director for Paperworld Middle East and Gifts and Lifestyle Middle East, noted the success of last year’s event, “The inaugural Paperworld Awards set a high benchmark, showcasing remarkable achievements across the industry.
“This year, we’ve received a diverse range of outstanding entries, highlighting everything from environmentally friendly products to premium notebooks and writing instruments.”
Some standout categories at the Paperworld Awards 2024 reflect the diverse range of innovative products across the stationery industry.
In the ‘Arts and Crafts Product of the Year’ category, the finalists include Nataraj Soy Wax Crayons from Hindustan Pencils, known for their eco-friendly composition, and the STAEDTLER pigment brush pen 371 from Pan Gulf Marketing, praised for its precision and versatility.
Sustainability is at the forefront in the ‘Eco-Friendly Product of the Year’ category. Notable entries include ECO BEST Nature-Friendly Paper by Kaagaz, which promotes responsible paper production, and Uni-ball Eye Ocean Care from Pan Gulf Marketing, a writing instrument made from recycled ocean plastic, exemplifying the industry’s shift toward environmental responsibility.
The ‘Customizable Product of the Year’ category highlights products that offer personalized features. Finalists include the Cricut Joy by CRICUT, a versatile crafting machine designed for creating custom designs, and the Dorniel A5 Notebook by Magic Trading Co., allowing personalized touches to cater to various consumer preferences.
In the ‘Licensed Product of the Year’ category, Moleskine’s Van Gogh Museum Limited Edition Notebook stands out for its artistic design, while the Maped Barbie Colouring Set from Pan Gulf Marketing brings a popular brand to the world of creative stationery, appealing to younger consumers.
For ‘Notebook/Diary of the Year’, entries such as Moleskine’s Casa Batlló Custom Edition Notebook, inspired by the iconic Spanish architecture, and the Cross Classic Black Medium Lined Journal by A.T. Cross, known for its elegant design and functionality, are among the contenders, reflecting both innovation and timeless appeal.
One of the most prestigious awards, the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award,’ will honor an individual who has made a lasting contribution to the stationery industry and inspired the next generation of professionals.
Paperworld Middle East will be held in conjunction with Gifts and Lifestyle Middle East, showcasing the latest innovations in the stationery and gift industries. The event will occur at Halls 4 to 8 of the Dubai World Trade Centre from November 12 to 14, 2024.
