Ranpak rolls out FillPak Mini for compact sustainable packaging

The new packaging solution is available to customers in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

USA – Ranpak has introduced the FillPak Mini, a new automated void fill machine tailored for businesses facing tight production spaces.

This compact device measures just enough to slot into small pack stations, delivering paper-based filling without demanding major layout changes.

The machine features an intuitive interface that supports various modes, such as batch production or the electronic delivery system for on-demand material at set sizes.

Operators can override automation via a foot pedal to produce exactly the paper needed for each package, cutting waste in real time.

Reloading stays straightforward with an accessible paper feed and a single-button loader, which keeps operations running smoothly and minimizes interruptions.

Ranpak notes that installation requires little effort, making it suitable for companies shifting from plastic fillers to paper alternatives.

Available now across Europe and the Asia-Pacific, the FillPak Mini pairs easily with Ranpak’s Geami wrapping options to handle both void filling and product protection in one setup. North American rollout follows in 2026.

Andre Kabel, vice president of Product Management for Europe and the Asia-Pacific, highlighted the design focus in a statement.

“Customers have shared their need to grow operations within limited spaces, and we built the FillPak Mini to address those exact issues,” he said.

He added that the team anticipates strong uptake in the region.

This launch builds on Ranpak’s earlier 2025 efforts, including three integrated systems for applying recyclable pads and void fillers to e-commerce and industrial shipments.

Those tools aim to ease regulatory shifts, enhance line ergonomics, and support larger-scale production.

In September, Walmart teamed up with Ranpak on the AutoFill system, which deploys AI machine vision to scan box voids and dispense precise recyclable paper amounts.

The setup, live at a Walmart facility in Indiana, speeds fulfillment while trimming excess materials.

Amazon recently expanded automated tools in its European network, incorporating custom box makers, paper bag dispensers, and labeling units for vendor-supplied packaging.

These changes target a drop in overall waste volume.

Ranpak’s moves signal growing demand for efficient, eco-friendly fillers.

The FillPak Mini enters at a time when e-commerce volumes strain small operators, offering a practical path to paper-based sustainability without sacrificing speed.
