UK – Ravenwood Packaging has launched the Nobac 40, a groundbreaking promotional flash labeller available as a standalone unit or integrated with any linerless applicator in the Nobac 5000 range.
This sustainable, cost-effective bottle labelling solution eliminates the need for traditional self-adhesive flash labellers, offering an eco-friendly alternative.
The Nobac 40’s intentionally simple design incorporates high-precision components, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
“We’re thrilled to introduce this industry-first linerless flash label solution,” said Managing Director Paul Beamish.
“When customers choose a Nobac sleever, they can now opt for a linerless flash labeller, reducing waste and costs.”
Unlike conventional labels, linerless labels lack backing paper, using adhesive and silicone strips to self-adhere, minimizing material use.

In a strategic partnership announced last August, Ravenwood collaborated with QUOR, a leader in quality management systems, to integrate advanced label inspection technology.
By combining Ravenwood’s Vision system with QUOR’s paperless factory reporting, this solution ensures unparalleled accuracy in food labelling for brand owners and retailers.
The Vision system verifies label correctness, orientation, and positioning while analyzing printed data, including use-by dates, barcodes, and flash labels.
Equipped with top and bottom cameras, it conducts seamless in-line inspections without halting production. Non-conforming packs are automatically diverted to a lockable reject bin, with reject verification included as standard.
QUOR’s paperless system digitizes operational data, enhancing collaboration with the Vision system.
“This integration with Ravenwood’s automated label verification and X-ray equipment is a game-changer,” said QUOR Managing Director Peter Jeanes.
“It eliminates label errors and human oversight, ensuring total control over retail packing lines.”
QUOR’s automated data capture boosts Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), providing complete visibility into analytics.
The system benchmarks product and scheduling data against label accuracy, pack speeds, and OEE standards.
Data is stored locally or in the cloud, accessible via iPad, tablet, or PC interfaces. Comprehensive reports detail pack speeds, stoppages, labelling errors, and faulty pack images, enabling swift, informed decisions.
Ravenwood’s Nobac 40 and its QUOR partnership set a new standard for sustainable, precise, and efficient labelling in the packaging industry.
