UAE – Rebound, a subsidiary of Sirius International Holding, has launched its new subscription-based platform for recyclable materials.

Designed to connect buyers, sellers, and partners globally, this innovative platform promotes a circular economy while driving profitability and sustainability.

The platform’s subscription model offers 0% commission on trades, enhancing users’ financial returns while supporting environmental goals.

Rebound’s initiative goes beyond traditional recycling, integrating stakeholders to foster transparency, efficiency, and responsibility.

The platform has expanded its offerings to include various materials such as plastics, rubber, e-waste, metals, paper, and cardboard, making it a versatile resource for industry players.

Subscribers gain access to dedicated account managers, real-time price indices, and a community page for industry discussions, creating a comprehensive hub for collaboration and insight.

Maryam Al Mansoori, Founder and General Manager of Rebound, emphasized the platform’s transformative impact, “Rebound is more than a marketplace; it represents a revolution in global recycling.

“Our all-encompassing solution, built on local insights and international expertise, empowers the industry to meet sustainability demands while supporting the UAE’s net-zero goals.”

Strategic growth and industry alignment

Rebound’s platform launch comes at a pivotal time for the UAE’s recycling industry. The demand for sustainable solutions is rapidly increasing with the plastic recycling market projected to reach 1.44 million tonnes by 2030.

The platform’s growth aligns with the UAE’s Green Agenda 2030 and Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2021-2041, positioning Rebound as a leader in waste management innovation.

The initiative also reflects Rebound’s commitment to fostering Emirati talent and utilizing global expertise to reduce environmental impact.

Earlier this year, Rebound partnered with the Circular Packaging Association to standardize plastic recyclates.

Unveiled at the 28th Conference of Parties, this collaboration aims to advance both food-grade and non-food-grade recycled plastics standards, benefiting the UAE and the global community.

Rebound’s focus on data analytics is a key component of its sustainability strategy, particularly on estimating material volumes in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and the UAE.

As a Knowledge Partner to the Circular Packaging Association, Rebound contributes valuable insights on global recycled plastics quality and infrastructure, driving the industry toward higher standards and improved accessibility to recycled materials.

By offering a seamless platform and fostering industry-wide collaboration, Rebound is playing a critical role in the UAE’s transition to a circular economy, supporting the country’s ambitious sustainability targets while enhancing global recycling efforts.
