Reprotronics invests in Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS to strengthen flexo platemaking in UAE

The CDI Crystal 4260 XPS integrates plate imaging and exposure into a single, seamless workflow.

UAE – Reprotronics, a leading Dubai-based prepress and visual graphics solutions provider, has invested in a fully automated Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS flexo platemaking line, underscoring its commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality flexographic plates to customers across the EMEA region and Europe.

A subsidiary of the Thomsun Group, Reprotronics has built a reputation as a trusted partner in graphic arts and below-the-line (BTL) marketing since 1993.

The new installation marks a strategic expansion of its technical capabilities as demand for high-quality flexo plates accelerates in the Middle East and Africa.

According to Grand View Research, the regional flexographic printing market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.2% from 2025 to 2030, reaching US$1.03 billion by the end of the decade.

The CDI Crystal 4260 XPS integrates plate imaging and exposure into a single, seamless workflow, leveraging Esko’s UV LED exposure technology to ensure consistent results.

This level of automation reduces manual steps, minimizes human error, and allows operators to produce sharper, more stable plates with less waste.

“With the Esko CDI Crystal 4260 XPS, we have significantly boosted our ability to produce superior plates with repeatability and stability,” said Anand Mistry, Production Manager at Reprotronics.

“The automation has been a game changer. It gives us confidence that every plate leaving our facility will perform flawlessly on press. That peace of mind is priceless, it allows us to focus on creative innovation and supporting our customers.”

The investment is expected to enhance Reprotronics’ competitive position in an industry where precision and consistency are critical to brand owners and printers.

High-quality plates are crucial for achieving vibrant, accurate packaging print runs, particularly in fast-moving consumer goods, where shelf impact is vital.

Eddy Fadel, General Manager and Vice President of Digital Flexo Solutions at Esko, welcomed the development, “Reprotronics is on a mission to deliver high-quality flexographic plates to the Middle East market, and we’re proud to be part of that journey.

“The CDI Crystal XPS ecosystem is designed to make quality and efficiency feel effortless, supporting businesses in meeting the highest standards of accuracy and performance.”

Reprotronics’ decision reflects its long-term strategy of combining technology, expertise, and service reliability to support brand owners and converters.

With the flexo sector gaining momentum as a sustainable and versatile printing solution, this investment reinforces the UAE’s role as a regional hub for advanced printing technologies.
