The solutions will be showcased at the ExCel tradeshow in London, UK, from 24 to 25 September.

EUROPE – Sabert Corporation Europe has joined forces with food-to-go specialist Flexeserve to introduce the PulpUltra range, a recyclable, film-sealable collection of hot food takeaway boxes.
The partnership will showcase these solutions at the ExCel London tradeshow from September 24 to 25, 2025, alongside Sabert’s new Hot & Tasty and Fastpac ranges.
According to Alex Noake, senior vice president and managing director for Sabert Europe, the PulpUltra range is crafted from over 95% plant-based fibers with a minimal barrier spray, ensuring excellent moisture and grease resistance with less plastic.
He emphasized its compliance with EU and UK regulations, noting its freezer-safe design that preserves food freshness.
JP Felix, head of culinary at Flexeserve, stated that the collaboration ensures hot food is packaged effectively while enhancing its visual appeal, with demonstrations planned using Flexeserve’s hot-holding units at the event.
The Hot & Tasty range, part of Sabert’s paper collection, targets classic takeaway foods like fried chicken, burgers, and sides.
Noake described it as combining modern design with practical functionality, offering nestable, recyclable packaging that optimizes shelf space and supports both hot and chilled applications.
Meanwhile, the Fastpac range features microwavable, leak-resistant containers made with 30% recycled polypropylene and 30% organically sourced minerals.
A report by Sabert confirms that all internal polypropylene waste is reused to produce these trays and lids, promoting a zero-waste approach.
This launch follows Sabert’s acquisition of Colpac, a UK-based paperboard packaging manufacturer, finalized on July 31, 2025.
Noake highlighted the shared expertise, stating that the combined team will present Colpac’s award-winning Stagione range and other paperboard solutions at the tradeshow.
The acquisition enhances Sabert’s UK manufacturing capabilities and expands its sustainable packaging portfolio.
In a recent development, Sabert announced its membership in the Alliance for Fibre-Based Packaging in February 2025, joining companies like McDonald’s and Huhtamaki to advocate for fiber-based packaging in UK waste and recycling policies.
This move strengthens Sabert’s commitment to sustainable innovation, with plans to further develop recyclable, high-recycled-content packaging.
The ExCel event will offer attendees a chance to explore these advancements through live demonstrations of hot food packaged in Sabert’s latest solutions, highlighting their focus on sustainability and performance in the food-to-go market.
