INDIA – Serac, a global leader in packaging technology, made a strong impression at ProPak India 2024, held from 25 to 27 September at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru.
The company showcased its commitment to innovation and advanced packaging solutions for the Indian market, further solidifying its industry leadership.
With over five decades of experience, Serac has pioneered cutting-edge packaging technologies, specializing in blowing, filling, and capping solutions for industries such as dairy, food, edible oils, and lubricants.
At ProPak India 2024, Serac reinforced its reputation as a global innovator, featuring its latest technological advancements and strengthening its relationships with industry partners and customers.
At its booth, open on three sides for easy access, Serac introduced its portable test bench in India.
This interactive feature demonstrated real-time filling processes using Serac’s advanced machines.
The test bench attracted significant attention, offering visitors a closer look at the precision and reliability of Serac’s filling technology.
Serac plans to demonstrate live filling tests in future exhibitions with real products such as dairy, sauces, and other food items.
Led by Managing Director Deepak Kamat, the Serac India team included key figures such as Customer Service Manager Vishalchandra Shah, Area Sales Manager Sherwin Samuel, and Field Service Engineer Arjun PV.
The event was further enhanced by the presence of Serac’s Chairman of the Board, Rose Graffin, and APAC Managing Director, Paul Heskens.
Kamat emphasized the success of their participation, noting attendees’ strong engagement and interest.
“We had a successful show at ProPak India, showcasing our aseptic decontamination model, BluStream, which focuses on sensitive food industry products,” said Kamat.
“The footfall was excellent, and we were able to highlight how our solutions can be retrofitted to existing equipment, a key unique selling point for us.”
BluStream decontamination technology
Serac’s BluStream decontamination model, which uses Electron Beam (EB) technology instead of traditional chemical methods, was a highlight of the event.
This innovation eliminates the need for chemicals like hydrogen peroxide, significantly reducing capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) costs.
With a compact footprint of 1.5 to 2 meters, BluStream has already achieved notable results, including a log-six reduction in cap decontamination.
Kamat shared the company’s plans to scale up the technology to full bottle decontamination, citing growing interest from major customers like Amul.
ProPak India provided a platform for Serac to connect with existing customers and engage potential clients in the dairy, edible oil, and lubricant industries.
The event facilitated numerous productive conversations, allowing Serac to showcase its innovative solutions and highlight how they can integrate seamlessly into existing equipment.
Reflecting on the show, Rose Graffin expressed her excitement about Serac’s engagement in the Indian market.
“It’s an honor to be in India with our local team for this exciting ProPak event. The energy and innovation on display reflect the dynamic potential of the Indian market, and we are thrilled by the positive reception from visitors and partners,” concluded Graffin.
