The agreement is set to accelerate innovation and expand sustainable beverage options across the Middle East.

UAE – Global packaging solutions provider SIG has signed a new strategic partnership with Nuitree, a Dubai-based food and beverage company specializing in plant-based products.
The agreement, officially sealed at Nuitree’s factory in Dubai Investment City, is set to accelerate innovation and expand sustainable beverage options across the Middle East.
The collaboration will see Nuitree adopt the SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic line, a state-of-the-art filling solution designed for flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability.
With the system, Nuitree will be able to produce a wide range of beverages, from almond and oat milks to fruit juices, soups, sauces, and even “chunky” blends containing real fruit pieces and fibers, in convenient 80 to 200 ml carton packs.
According to SIG, the partnership is more than a technology upgrade; it is a signal of the UAE’s growing importance as a hub for plant-based innovation.
“We are committed to driving innovation, sustainability, and value creation for our customers. This collaboration with Nuitree strengthens their capabilities in the fast-growing plant-based beverage category while showcasing the flexibility and performance of our latest aseptic line,” the company said in a statement.
For Nuitree, the move comes at a time when consumer demand for plant-based beverages is surging across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, driven by changing dietary preferences, rising health awareness, and sustainability concerns.
The UAE in particular has seen rapid growth in the vegan and vegetarian community, with major supermarkets and foodservice outlets expanding their dairy-free ranges.
Industry analysts note that packaging technology plays a key role in scaling the sector. Aseptic cartons, such as those provided by SIG, are designed to extend shelf life without refrigeration, reduce food waste, and lower the carbon footprint compared to traditional packaging formats.
The deal also reinforces SIG’s commitment to the UAE, where it has been expanding its footprint to meet regional demand.
The company has invested heavily in local production capabilities, enabling faster go-to-market strategies for customers and supporting national sustainability initiatives aligned with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 vision.
“Together, we are enabling expanded product possibilities, optimized production with high-speed aseptic filling, and robust food safety with minimal waste,” SIG added.
With plant-based beverages projected to grow by double digits in the MENA region over the next five years, the SIG–Nuitree partnership is expected to set a benchmark for sustainable innovation in the industry.
