Sunswell expands advanced water filling operations in Colombia

USA – Sunswell, a leading supplier in the liquid packaging industry, has successfully introduced a state-of-the-art water filling machine to Colombia. 

The equipment, designed for both small- and large-scale operations, processes cylindrical and square PET bottles ranging from three to 15 liters, accommodating products like water and select alcoholic beverages.

The machine, with a capacity of 2,000 to 12,000 bottles per hour, features separate rinsing, filling, and capping units for streamlined maintenance and flexible production. 

According to Sunswell, the rinser employs a patented SUS304 stainless steel bottle clamp, ensuring durability and compliance with food-grade safety standards. 

Bottles are rotated 180 degrees along the conveyor for thorough cleaning, with 15-degree spray nozzles reducing water usage by up to 20% through a double-rinse system.

The gravity filling system prioritizes precision, using SUS316L stainless steel valves to maintain a fill-level accuracy within a 2mm margin. 

“This precision ensures every bottle meets strict quality and labeling standards,” a Sunswell spokesperson noted. 

The capping unit incorporates magnetic torque control to secure seals without damaging caps, while a photoelectric sensor halts operations if cap issues are detected, minimizing waste.

Sunswell, holding ISO 9001, CE, and SGS certifications, emphasized its robust research and development capabilities in filling and blow molding technologies. 

The company’s bottling lines can reportedly handle up to 48,000 bottles per hour, catering to high-speed production demands.

In a statement, a Sunswell representative said, “Our machines are built to enhance efficiency and sustainability, helping clients meet growing market needs.” 

The Colombian delivery follows a recent order in May 2025 from a New York client seeking to upgrade its 1-gallon filling line with a fully automatic wrapping machine, handle applicator, and palletizer.

Additional information from recent industry updates indicates Sunswell shipped another 3-15L water filling machine to Colombia in August 2025, featuring a Siemens PLC and Danfoss inverter for stable performance. 

This machine, with a 3,000-bottle-per-hour capacity for 5L bottles, further demonstrates Sunswell’s focus on reliable, high-efficiency equipment for global markets.
