INDIA – Superplum has introduced an innovative mango packaging solution aimed at enhancing food safety, improving traceability, and boosting consumer confidence.

This latest initiative features individual mangoes sealed in tamper-proof pouches, each equipped with a scannable QR code.

Leveraging India’s most advanced supply chain, Superplum continues to redefine farm-to-retail excellence with a strong focus on transparency and quality assurance.

The Indian mango market has long struggled with challenges such as mis-selling, incorrect sourcing information, and the widespread use of harmful ripening agents like calcium carbide.

These issues not only compromise consumer health but also diminish trust in the authenticity of mango varieties.

Superplum’s new approach directly addresses these concerns by integrating cutting-edge packaging technology with a digital supply chain that ensures full traceability from farm to retail.

Sourcing mangoes from eight states and offering 11 premium varieties, Superplum guarantees that each fruit is ripened safely in its state-of-the-art facilities, completely free from hazardous chemicals.

Once ripened, the mangoes are individually sealed in pilfer-proof pouches, ensuring they remain untampered and retain their natural quality.

A key feature of this innovation is the scannable QR code on each pouch, which allows consumers to access crucial information about their purchase.

By simply scanning the code, customers can verify the mango’s origin, view pesticide test results, and confirm they are purchasing genuine Indian mango varieties.

This transparency eliminates common concerns related to misidentification and misleading labeling, providing consumers with a heightened level of trust and assurance.

“The mango industry has been plagued by inconsistency and safety concerns for too long,” said Manasvi Khandelia, Manager (Sales Planning) at Superplum.

“Our cutting-edge packaging and supply chain expertise ensure that consumers get exactly what they pay for: safe, authentic, and delicious mangoes.”

Superplum’s mango pouches are now available in retail stores across Delhi and Bangalore, marking a significant step forward in the company’s mission to transform India’s fruit industry.

This initiative not only strengthens consumer confidence in mango purchases but also sets a new benchmark for safety and authenticity in the fresh produce sector.

By leveraging modern packaging solutions and a digitally integrated supply chain, Superplum is pioneering a movement toward greater transparency and food safety in India’s fruit market, reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality, responsibly sourced produce to consumers.
