Tupperware unveils first Voila Glass line for sustainable food storage

The Voila Glass line features versatile, non-toxic glass containers.

USA – Tupperware, a leading U.S.-based food storage company, is set to launch its Voila Glass line on September, marking its first venture into glass containers.

According to the company, this new range, made from borosilicate glass, offers a non-toxic alternative to its traditional plastic products, designed for both functionality and style.

The Voila Glass line includes three containers: a 1.7-liter circular container priced at US$24, a 1.6-liter square container at US$24, and a 3-liter rectangular container at US$34.

A bundled set of all three is available for US$74. Each container features grippy rims for easy handling, volume lines for precise measurements, and dishwasher-safe construction.

The airtight lids, equipped with a steam vent, ensure food stays fresh longer and are safe for microwave use.

In a statement, a Tupperware spokesperson said, “Our Voila Glass containers are built to simplify meal prep, cooking, and storage while offering a sustainable option for consumers.”

The containers can withstand temperatures from -13°F to 572°F, making them suitable for oven baking, refrigerator storage, or freezing.

This versatility allows users to cook, serve, and store meals in a single dish, reducing cleanup time. Tupperware has also introduced recipes like Berry Cobbler Cake, designed specifically for these containers.

The launch responds to growing consumer demand for eco-friendly packaging. A recent industry report noted that 60% of U.S. consumers view glass as the most sustainable packaging material due to its recyclability and durability.

Tupperware’s shift to glass complements its ongoing sustainability efforts, including a commitment to eliminate single-use plastic packaging by 2025 and recycle 90% of returned products through its Recycline program.

Meanwhile, Tupperware is exploring further sustainable innovations. In early 2025, the company announced plans to test bio-based materials in select markets, aiming to expand its ECO+ line, which uses recycled and environmentally conscious materials.

This move builds on Tupperware’s partnership with Eastman for Tritan Renew, a material with 50% certified recycled content, used in clear, durable products.

The Voila Glass line will be available for pre-order on Tupperware’s website starting September 15, with full availability on September 18.

In 2023, Tupperware Australia collaborated with the livestream shopping platform buywith on a Shopify app to enhance online sales, a strategy likely to support the Voila Glass launch.
