US –  Global supplier of labeling materials for branding and promotion, UPM Raflatac has announced plans to open a new state-of-the-art terminal in Vancouver, Washington, early next year.

The new facility will strengthen the network of terminals across North America and expand the company’s slitting and distribution capacity.

The investment will improve product quality, benefiting customers across the western US and Canada.

“We chose Vancouver, Washington, as the site of this new state-of-the-art facility because of its strategic location to best service our expanding customer base, as well as the growing market in the Pacific Northwest and California,” said Tim Kirchen, Senior Vice President of UPM Raflatac Americas.

The company is investing in operational advancements that will enable the success of its customers and meet the growing demand for pressure-sensitive labels.

The new terminal will house multiple slitters and ample warehousing space to allow storage of film and paper laminates and specialty products.

Commenting on the expansion plans, Christian Szameit, West Region Sales Director at UPM Raflatac Americas added: “We will have a significant increase in slitting capacity for various label material types, including wine and food.

“This new facility will greatly benefit our current and future customers across the western US. We look forward to further cultivating these relationships and starting new ones.”

Construction on the new facility is underway, and production is expected to begin in the spring of 2023.
