Amcor to unveil sustainable packaging solutions at Fachpack 2025

GERMANY – Amcor, a global leader in packaging solutions, will showcase innovative sustainable products at the Fachpack Expo in Nuremberg, Germany, from September 23 to 25, 2025. 

The company’s display will feature advancements in both rigid and flexible packaging, addressing the growing demand for eco-friendly options across food, beverage, and industrial sectors.

A key highlight is Amcor’s CleanStream technology, which uses domestically recovered, mechanically recycled polypropylene for contact-sensitive applications like homecare and industrial products. 

According to Philipp Richter, Amcor’s sales director for rigid packaging solutions in Central Europe, sustainability is a priority, but functionality and consumer convenience remain critical in packaging design. 

The company will also introduce its new range of reusable cups and lids, which are durable, dishwasher-safe, and recyclable, offering a practical alternative to single-use packaging.

Amcor’s Modena Flip Top tamper-evident closure, designed for vinegar, sauces, and dressings, will debut at the expo. 

This lightweight, single-material closure enhances recyclability while ensuring consumer safety.

Additionally, the Sava Flip Top and Sunny and Pical Pouring closures will be showcased, tailored to meet diverse product needs and improve user experience.

The Politainer, a polyethylene container, will also be on display. 

Its flat-packed design reduces plastic weight and optimizes supply chain efficiency, making it ideal for transporting products like inks, chemicals, and foods while minimizing air ingress. 

Amcor’s flexible packaging solutions include advanced industrial films like the NorDiVent ventilated form-fill-seal film, which holds RecyClass certification and up to 50% post-consumer recycled material. 

For pallet protection, the company will present Bontite and Stratos stretch wrap films, with Bontite offering 300% stretch and 30% recycled content, and Stratos providing a lightweight, sustainable option.

In August 2025, the company announced a US$10 million investment in a new recycling facility in Ohio, USA, to increase its capacity for processing post-consumer recycled materials, further supporting its Fachpack innovations. 

This facility will focus on producing high-quality recycled polymers for food-grade packaging, addressing regulatory and consumer demands for circular economy solutions.

Amcor’s recycle-ready flexible packaging for the food and beverage industry, including mono-material films and Omni Xtra+ cling film, will also be featured. 

This polyethylene-based cling film serves as a recyclable alternative to traditional PVC, offering clarity and anti-fog performance. 

The company’s comprehensive approach at Fachpack 2025 demonstrates its dedication to balancing sustainability with practical, consumer-focused packaging solutions.
