USA – Minneapolis-based converter AWT Labels & Packaging (AWT) has launched AWT On Demand Print & Labeling Systems, a comprehensive offering of printers, software, services, and consumables, including stock and custom labels.
This new service, formerly known as ReThink Labeling, aims to streamline the ordering process by allowing customers to purchase VIP labels and supplies from the same trusted partner that produces their primary or industrial labels. AWT provides both blank thermal labels and highly embellished branded labels.
AWT is a full-service label and packaging converter that meets all client needs. The AWT On Demand team comprises seasoned printers, software, and field service professionals, all dedicated to ensuring a seamless and efficient labeling process.
“AWT On-Demand expands our product offering,” said Jack van den Boogaart, AWT’s director of sales.
“All customers mark cartons or packages and ship products. Now our customers can order everything they need, from product decoration to blank labels, from AWT.
“As a label converter rather than a distributor, we also offer what we call Dynamic Hybrid: embellished labels finished in-house as needed.
“This provides control and flexibility to the customer, especially for short-run or personalized labeling needs, without sacrificing label quality or branding. We are committed to providing a complete solution that meets customer needs and adds value to their operations.”
Earlier this month, AWT Labels & Packaging announced the acquisition of American Label Technologies (ALT).
ALT, headquartered in Garner, North Carolina, provides innovative RFID and label solutions for North America’s healthcare, retail, warehousing, and automotive markets. The business will continue to operate as American Label Technologies, an AWT Company.
“RFID is a strategic product we’ve wanted to add to our portfolio to continue to bring value-added solutions to our customers,” said Bruce Hanson, CEO of AWT.
“The ALT team not only brings depth in RFID manufacturing expertise but also has incredible technical knowledge in solving complex customer applications.
“This combined skill set matches our business philosophy well and further strengthens our enterprise engineering team. We’re truly excited about this addition to our team.”
AWT’s acquisition of ALT complements its key end markets with an expanded geographic footprint, enhanced printing and RFID capabilities, and an enriched portfolio of print solutions.
ALT’s technical solutions reputation in RFID further builds on AWT’s value proposition for existing and new customers.
“We look forward to helping grow the AWT marketplace with the addition of ALT’s RFID knowledge and capabilities,” said Darrin Schmitt, President of ALT.
“We saw this as a great opportunity to grow two great companies into different markets and strengthen both in markets where they already excel. We’re excited about the opportunity to help ALT grow faster in today’s expanding RFID market.
“Our team recognizes and embraces the synergies between AWT and ALT. We believe the values, business philosophy, and customer focus that we both share were key to making this happen. We believe this to be a win-win outcome for both companies.”
