Marzek Etiketten+Packaging installs HP Indigo 6K+ digital press

The press’ enhanced productivity, operation, and versatility allow for quicker setup and consistent quality across repeat jobs.

AUSTRIA – Marzek Etiketten+Packaging,  a leading European converter, has installed a state-of-the-art HP Indigo 6K+ digital press at its headquarters in Traiskirchen, Austria.

This marks the first deployment of this cutting-edge technology in Austria and one of the earliest worldwide, setting a new standard for premium label and packaging production.

The HP Indigo 6K+ digital press, equipped with the innovative SmartControlSystem, enables the company to address the growing demand for rapid customization and shorter lead times.

According to industry experts, the press offers enhanced productivity and versatility, allowing for quicker setup, consistent quality across repeat jobs, and faster substrate changeovers.

This reduces turnaround times significantly, meeting the needs of brands seeking agile and high-quality packaging solutions.

In a statement, Group CEO Johannes Michael Wareka said, “The quality of this press is unmatched, but it’s the blend of productivity, reliability, and uninterrupted production that truly distinguishes it.”

“It enables us to achieve what was once unimaginable with conventional printing, delivering craft quality at an industrial scale. It’s not just about efficiency, it’s about unlocking new creative possibilities while maintaining high quality and reliability.”

The company leverages HP PrintOS, a connected production control center, to enhance operational efficiency.

The PrintOS app allows remote monitoring of production, real-time performance data analysis, and detailed reporting, ensuring seamless operations.

This aligns with the industry’s shift toward shorter runs and personalized packaging, enabling the firm to scale sustainably by minimizing waste and optimizing production planning through tools like vendor-managed inventory.

With over 15 years of experience in digital printing, the company has a history of embracing innovation, starting with the first European deployment of the HP Indigo WS6000 press in 2009.

The adoption of the HP Indigo 6K+ reinforces its commitment to sustainability, as the press supports eco-friendly substrates and reduces media-related CO₂ emissions by up to 20%, according to recent reports.

A recent industry update highlights that the HP Indigo 6K+ will be showcased at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, from September 16-19, with live demonstrations at booths E25 and D21 in Hall 5.

This event will allow industry professionals to explore the press’s capabilities, further solidifying its role in reshaping sustainable packaging.
