US – US-based supplier of premium label solutions, Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) has completed the acquisition of Philadelphia-based label solutions company, LUX Global Label.

The acquisition, which closed on December 9, enhances MCC’s portfolio and capabilities in the home and personal care and pharmaceuticals market segments.

Kevin Kwilinski, CEO of MCC said: “This is a truly positive and strategic step forward for both of our legacy organizations.

“Lux’s impeccable operational infrastructure, a roster of global clients, and internal culture align extremely well with MCC’s values and growth strategy.

“Our legacy businesses are highly complementary, and we are ready to hit the ground running as we integrate our new organization.”

MCC’s acquisition includes LUX’s locations in Pennsylvania and Puerto Rico, which provide state-of-the-art pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, and flexible packaging primarily for personal care and pharmaceutical products.

With the competition of the deal, the experienced LUX team will join MCC and continue building on existing and new growth opportunities together.

Meanwhile, in October this year, MCC also acquired Flexcoat’s label and lamination operations in Brazil.

This deal gave Multi-Color Corporation a footprint in Brazil, with plans to further invest in expanding product offerings in the South American country.

MCC will leverage Flexcoat’s established long-term relationships with the most well-known firms in Brazil to further expand its offering.

In addition, the acquisition gives Flexcoat’s customers access to expanded product offerings and a comprehensive range of the latest label technologies.

In September last year, MCC acquired Skanem Group’s label operations in Europe and Thailand from the Skanem Group.

The deal involved acquiring seven of Skanem Group’s facilities in Denmark, Norway, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Thailand. The transaction excluded Skanem’s label operations in India and Kenya.

Founded in 1916, MCC supports a number of the world’s most prominent brands across end categories including food and beverages, home and personal care, wine and spirits, and other specialties.

Based in Chicago, the company serves national and international brand owners across its global footprint with a comprehensive range of the latest label technologies in pressure sensitive, cut and stack, roll-fed, in-mold, shrink sleeve and heat transfer applications.

MCC employs approximately 13,000 associates across more than 100 plants in over 29 countries.
