Rotor Print by SPG acquires 51% stake in French converter LIVCER

French capacity expansion serves drug makers needing compliance, short leads, supply continuity; scale funds equipment/quality beyond smaller ops.

FRANCE – Rotor Print by SPG has purchased a 51% interest in French printing and packaging company LIVCER Impression Flexographique , adding 10 million square metres of annual production capacity to support pharmaceutical packaging in European markets.

Financial terms remain undisclosed.

The capacity will be used to support pharmaceutical packaging production in European markets.

Rotor Print by SPG had annual production capacity of 90 million square metres before the transaction, and the two businesses now hold combined capacity of about 100 million square metres a year.

LIVCER Operates Three Flexographic Lines

LIVCER Impression Flexographique runs three flexographic printing lines and employs 20 people.

It generated around €6 million (US$7.04 million) in revenue in 2025.

The French company has more than 30 years of industrial experience and knowledge of the domestic market.

Following the transaction, it will operate under Rotor Print by SPG’s management while keeping its name, existing activities and employees, preserving continuity for customers and staff.

Group Network Grows to Six Plants

The acquisition increases SP Group’s manufacturing network to six plants, with potential annual production capacity of approximately 577 million square metres.

SP Group’s French facilities are in Arras and Sucy-en-Brie.

The group recorded total revenue of €203.5 million (US$238.8 million) in 2025, including €62.5 million (US$73.4 million) from exports, and had nearly 900 employees.

Strategy Focused on Pharmaceutical Packaging

In a statement, Rotor Print by SPG said its objective was to build on the strengths of both organisations and create new opportunities for growth while preserving the specialisation and close customer relationships that define each company.

The company added that the move represented another step forward in a strategy built on specialisation, proximity and industrial strength, with particular focus on the French and wider European pharmaceutical packaging market.

For pharmaceutical converters, proximity to customers matters because packaging qualifications require validation and audit processes that favour local supply relationships.

Expanding capacity within France allows the group to serve drug manufacturers requiring documented compliance, short lead times and reliable supply continuity, while scale improvements support investment in equipment and quality systems that smaller operations cannot sustain independently.
