SupplyOne expands packaging footprint with acquisition of Vital Pack in California

The Southern California-based packaging distributor is SupplyOne’s 44th acquisition since its founding 27 years ago.

USA – SupplyOne, Inc. has acquired Vital Pack, a California-based distributor specializing in packaging and shipping solutions.

The deal, announced earlier this month, integrates Vital Pack’s in-house label printing and statewide operations into SupplyOne’s network.

Vital Pack provides products like stretch film, shrink bundling film, flexible packaging, corrugated items, and custom printed labels.

Company leaders noted that these offerings will combine with SupplyOne’s digital printing and converting skills to serve customers in the region more effectively.

This transaction represents SupplyOne’s 44th acquisition in 27 years and its initial entry into California, according to internal records. It aims to increase access to packaging options across the Western United States.

In a statement, James Luyben, Founder and CEO of Vital Pack, said, “Vital Pack was founded on the principles of quality, honest service, and reliability.”

He explained that partnering with SupplyOne would allow the company to maintain its core mission and provide expanded resources to clients.

Todd Renehan, CEO and President of SupplyOne, highlighted how the acquisition deepens expertise in flexible packaging and label production.

He expressed enthusiasm about integrating Vital Pack’s team, known for strong customer service.

SupplyOne focuses on custom corrugated and value-added packaging across North America.

With this move, the company extends its services to Southern California, where Vital Pack has established a solid market presence.

Recent developments show SupplyOne advancing eco-friendly options, such as thermoformed plastic materials that improve reusability and cut down on package density for a more efficient supply chain.

Earlier this year, in January 2025, the company introduced sustainable mailers designed to safeguard products while minimizing environmental harm.

Vital Pack’s printing capabilities will now support SupplyOne’s efforts to deliver high-impact custom solutions. Customers in industries like food and shipping stand to gain from the combined product range.

The acquisition comes amid SupplyOne’s ongoing growth, following its purchase of Budget Box & Bag, Inc. last year, which targeted the South Central market.

No financial details were disclosed for the Vital Pack deal.
