FINLAND – UPM Raflatac, known for its innovative and sustainable self-adhesive paper and film products, has reaffirmed its strategic collaboration with Mark Andy, a prominent manufacturer of narrow web printing equipment, marking the fifth consecutive year of their partnership.
This alliance aims to deliver top-tier label printing solutions to the market, leveraging UPM Raflatac’s extensive portfolio of sustainable label materials and Mark Andy’s cutting-edge printing technologies.
Kirit Naik, Global Director of Digital Printing Technologies at UPM Raflatac, expressed enthusiasm about the continued partnership with Mark Andy, highlighting their shared commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable label printing solutions.
The collaboration focuses on offering customers a wide range of innovative options that meet their needs while also aligning with sustainability goals.
UPM Raflatac’s collaboration with Mark Andy spans various label materials compatible with conventional, hybrid, and digital printing presses, catering to diverse customer requirements.
These materials are showcased at Mark Andy’s demo centers, allowing potential customers to witness the capabilities and benefits firsthand.
The partnership extends to Europe, where both companies have committed to collaborating for another year to deliver label printing solutions to the European market, emphasizing sustainability and innovation.
New slitting and distribution terminal in India
Meanwhile, UPM Raflatac has also opened a new slitting and distribution terminal in Mumbai, India. The new facility further improves service and quality to UPM Raflatac’s customers and strengthens the relationships in the region.

The new Mumbai terminal, operational since February, will soon see the addition of another slitting machine. Its strategic central location extends UPM Raflatac’s reach across the country.
“The new terminal improves our competitiveness and thus better positions UPM Raflatac as one of the leading label suppliers in India,” added Suresh Valecha, Country Manager, India, UPM Raflatac.
With the new Mumbai terminal opening, UPM Raflatac’s existing terminal in Bangalore, India, will be closed by the end of March 2024.
