USA – James Alexander Corporation, a prominent manufacturer and contract packager of single-use dispensing systems, has recently concluded a substantial expansion of its facility in Blairstown, New Jersey.
The new 18,000-square-foot extension translates to a remarkable 40% augmentation in total floor area, providing additional space for warehousing, administrative offices, and manufacturing. Consequently, the facility now boasts an impressive 48,000 square feet.
This expansion caters to the burgeoning market demands for James Alexander’s diverse range of single-use dispensing systems, encompassing crushable glass ampoules and innovative plastic ampoules featuring a variety of applicators.
Francesca Fazzolari, the founder of James Alexander Corp., remarked, “The expansion to a 48,000 square-foot facility empowers us to address not only current requirements but also those of the future.
“In addition to accommodating significantly increased manufacturing capacity and storage capabilities, we are enhancing production efficiency, refining facility workflow, and facilitating further investments in cutting-edge technologies.”
In a decisive stride towards innovation and optimized manufacturing processes, the company is embarking on the construction of a fully integrated line of automated filling/assembly machines. This initiative aims to augment capacity and pave the way for future expansion.
Furthermore, dedicated spaces have been allocated for two newly developed company-designed automated swabbing machines, significantly amplifying overall production capacity for glass ampoule packaging.
Provisions have also been made for additional manufacturing infrastructure investments to address expanding market demands in the near future.
James Alexander Corp. prides itself on designing and fabricating much of its equipment in-house, and the additional space allows ample room to bring new machine solutions from conception to fruition.
According to a report by Future Market Insights (FMI), the plastic vials and ampoules market is projected to witness a robust 6.1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2023 to 2033, surpassing the 5.2% CAGR recorded during the period from 2016 to 2022.
This growth trajectory is primarily fueled by escalating demand for packaging sterile liquids and various solid and liquid medications, including powders, tablets, capsules, and antibiotic sterile solutions.
