USA – US-based hybrid packaging provider Berlin Packaging has completed the acquisition of Andler Packaging Group, a value-added company that supplies containers and closures.

The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The company will retain all of Andler Packaging’s employees and locations.

Founded in 1893, Andler Packaging began as a bottle recycler and later expanded its business by supplying plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures.

The company operates multiple locations across Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, and Florida.

It caters to a wide range of markets, with expertise in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.

In addition, Andler Packaging provides customers with value-added services, including printing and labeling capabilities, proprietary custom tools, and repacking and sterilization services.

Meanwhile, Berlin Packaging is the world’s largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier® of glass, plastic, and metal containers and closures.

The company supplies billions of items annually along with package design, financing, consulting, warehousing, and logistics services for customers across all industries.

Berlin Packaging brings together the best of manufacturing, distribution, and income-adding service providers.

Its mission is to increase the net income of its customers through packaging products and services.

Berlin Packaging Americas CEO Rick Brandt said: “We are excited to welcome Andler Packaging to Berlin Packaging.”

“Like Berlin, Andler Packaging’s mission is to provide outstanding customer service and support while fostering an environment with its employees that encourages and rewards creativity, initiative, and effort.”

“This combination will enhance our industry-leading capabilities and bring even more thrill to our customers along the Atlantic Coast.”

The acquisition is Berlin Packaging’s second in North America and its fourth worldwide so far this year.

Berlin Packaging Global CEO and president Bill Hayes said: “We are extremely proud this family business chose to become our partners and are confident we will achieve great things together for our customers, suppliers, and employees.”

Andler Packaging managing director Sam Andler said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Berlin Packaging, not only as a competitor but also as a customer and supplier.

“Berlin Packaging’s values and dedication to customer thrill make this an excellent partnership. I look forward to continued growth for our company and our employees.”

Earlier this month, Berlin Packaging acquired Verrerie du Comtat, a France-based supplier of glass packaging for the wine and olive oil industries.
