Terramer is the developer of TERBO-1000, a patented hemp-based bioplastic that reportedly decomposes fully within 180 days.

USA – Buscar Company has acquired a 50% ownership stake in Terramer, a bioplastics developer specializing in hemp-derived materials.

The acquisition was executed through a structured share swap, with shares issued to Terramer’s existing stakeholders.

This cashless transaction allows both companies to align their strategic objectives while preserving capital for growth initiatives.

The share-based acquisition fosters long-term collaboration and underscores Buscar’s commitment to expanding its portfolio with environmentally focused technologies.

By adding Terramer’s proprietary bioplastic technology and revenue potential to its holdings, Buscar positions itself to lead in the fast-growing sector of sustainable materials.

Terramer is the developer of TERBO-1000, a patented hemp-based bioplastic that reportedly decomposes fully within 180 days, leaving no microplastic residue.

Designed to replace conventional plastics in a variety of applications, TERBO-1000 presents a compelling solution to two major global challenges: plastic waste and environmental degradation.

Operating from a 350,000-square-foot production facility, Terramer boasts an annual manufacturing capacity of 300 million pounds.

The company has already secured confirmed orders worth US$6.8 million and holds more than US$80 million in signed letters of intent from prominent consumer brands, signaling strong market interest and commercial viability.

The partnership will accelerate commercialization efforts and expand market access for TERBO-1000, particularly across industries such as foodservice, automotive, and construction, sectors increasingly seeking alternatives to petroleum-based plastics.

“This acquisition marks a transformative milestone for Buscar,” said Alexander Dekhtyar, Chair and CEO of Buscar Company.

“By combining Terramer’s groundbreaking bioplastic technology with our financial and operational strengths, we are well-positioned to lead the charge against microplastic pollution while creating meaningful value for our shareholders and the planet.”

The collaboration will also empower Terramer to scale its production capabilities and enhance its research and development capacity, particularly for custom bioplastic formulations tailored to specific industry needs.

Terramer CEO Paul Leslie Smith welcomed the partnership: “Joining forces with Buscar accelerates our mission to redefine what sustainable materials can achieve. Their strategic support will enable us to scale globally and deliver real impact in the fight against plastic pollution.”

The deal reflects growing momentum in bioplastics as companies and investors increasingly seek sustainable, scalable alternatives to traditional plastics.
