Epson SurePress achieves Idealliance Digital Press System certification

USA – Epson’s SurePress digital label press lineup, including the SurePress L-4733AW and SurePress L-6534VW, has received the Digital Press System Certification from Idealliance, a globally recognized leader in print and packaging standards.

This certification affirms that both SurePress models, when operated with the Wasatch RIP (Raster Image Processor), meet the stringent color accuracy, print quality, and production reliability standards set by Idealliance’s Digital Press Certification Program.

This program evaluates digital printing systems based on colorimetric accuracy, uniformity, repeatability, durability, and registration, ensuring they perform within established industry tolerances.

Epson’s achievement reflects its dedication to producing consistent and reliable label printing solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Mike Pruitt, Product Manager for SurePress at Epson America, emphasized the growing demand for color-accurate labels at competitive prices.

He highlighted that this certification ensures uniform print quality worldwide, stating, “Wherever a customer is printing in the world—whether India or Indiana—this certification proves SurePress models with Wasatch RIPs meet the strict Digital Press System Certification requirements.

“This results in high-quality color accuracy from print to print and country to country, ultimately leading to customer satisfaction and fewer rejected orders.”

By securing this certification, Epson reinforces the reliability of its press systems, demonstrating that its digital front-end, print engine, and paper work together seamlessly to maintain superior print consistency across different production environments.

The importance of Idealliance certification

The Idealliance Digital Press Certification Program is a benchmark for assessing the capabilities of commercial production inkjet systems, including high-speed cut-sheet and web-based devices.

The certification reassures print professionals that Epson SurePress presses deliver consistent, industry-standard color and quality, essential for brand integrity and supply chain consistency.

Jordan Gorski, Executive Director of Idealliance, underscored the significance of this achievement, stating, “The SurePress certification underscores its commitment to excellence and dedication to print accuracy.

“As the demand for consistent and high-quality print grows, Idealliance’s standards, such as G7, continue to serve as the foundation for color accuracy, print quality, and workflow alignment.”

With this certification, Epson strengthens its position as a leader in the digital label printing market, providing customers and label converters with greater confidence in achieving precise and repeatable color results, regardless of location or production volume.
