Manns brings 30 years of experience with Monadnock, joining the company in 1995 as Vice President of Finance and serving as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer before

USA – Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc., a key manufacturer of eco-friendly paper products for packaging, has appointed Andrew Manns as its Chief Executive Officer.
The move completes a succession plan set in motion by the late Richard G. Verney, who guided the company for decades until his recent passing.
Manns, who has spent three decades at the firm, first arrived in 1995 as Vice President of Finance.
He later took on the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, overseeing financial strategies that supported Monadnock’s shift toward sustainable production methods.
In a statement, company officials highlighted his intimate knowledge of operations, from sourcing fibers to delivering barrier-coated papers used in food and retail packaging.
“Richard led with clarity, conviction, and an unwavering commitment to doing what was right for our employees, customers, and the environment,” Manns said.
He added that stepping into the CEO position carries a deep sense of responsibility to advance those priorities.
The New Hampshire-based mill has long prioritized materials from managed forests and processes that minimize water use and emissions.
Its product line includes recycled-content papers and compostable options, serving clients seeking to cut plastic reliance in shipping and consumer goods.
According to internal updates, these efforts have kept Monadnock competitive in a market where demand for traceable, low-impact packaging grew by 15% last year.
This appointment arrives during a period of active executive changes across the sector. SIG, a major producer of carton-based liquid packaging, named Mikko Keto as CEO four days ago.
Keto, previously with FLSmidth, will oversee expansions in sustainable aseptic systems that extend shelf life without chemical preservatives.
In a parallel development, PaperWorks revealed five days ago that it acquired Color Craft to broaden its network of sustainable folding cartons.
The deal strengthens capacity for paper-based solutions that replace single-use plastics, with production now spanning multiple U.S. sites.
