TÜRKIYE – Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, received multiple awards at this year’s Crescents and Stars for Packaging competition in Türkiye.
These accolades reinforce Mondi’s reputation as a pioneering packaging solution provider that meets customer needs while advancing sustainability and design.
The company’s impressive lineup of award-winning products includes the Plate Protector (Mondi Eschenbach), the Eco Cage Paper Basket (Mondi Bupak), the BeerCoolBox (Mondi Warsaw), and the Koala Display (Mondi Adana).

The winners will be presented with gold, silver, and bronze trophies at the Crescent and Stars for Packaging 2024 awards ceremony and gala night, which is expected to be held in Istanbul later this year.
Mondi’s 2024 Crescents and Stars for Packaging winners are Koala Display (Mondi Adana), Corrugated Packaging for Premium Umbrellas (Mondi Ansbach), Doorbell Guard (Mondi Bad Rappenau), Eco Cage Paper Basket (Mondi Bupak), Plate Protector (Mondi Eschenbach), TopLock Box (Mondi Gebze), Beer Arena (Mondi Grünburg), Bottle Protector (Mondi İzmit), Display Guard (Mondi Tire), 3-in-1 Separator (Mondi Tire), and BeerCool Box (Mondi Warsaw).
The Koala Display, a 100% recyclable corrugated packaging solution for potted flowers, enhances product visibility and brand awareness while supporting diverse plant sizes and reducing costs compared to traditional wooden stands.
Umbrella Packaging offers a fully sustainable solution to polystyrene. It is designed for large umbrellas weighing 60-120 kilograms and lengths of 3.70 to 5.20 meters.
It provides optimal protection for 65 variants and is adaptable for other heavy consumer goods.
The Doorbell Guard is a bespoke, two-part corrugated packaging solution for premium doorbells. It is made from 100% recyclable materials and offers superior protection validated through rigorous drop tests.
The Eco Cage is a recyclable basket designed for enhanced freshness and durability, featuring ventilation holes and a reinforced handle. It is lightweight, strong, and significantly reduces CO2 footprint.
The Plate Protector, a two-piece shipping box for delicate porcelain plates, is engineered to fit standard European mailboxes with a special insert and protective tabs, passing 1-meter drop tests for ISTA-6 compliance.
The TopLock Box is an innovative eCommerce box with unique interlocking slots and hotmelt tape for secure sealing, preventing unauthorized access and reducing material use.
The Beer Arena, designed to resemble a football stadium, is a distinctive packaging solution for beer cans and bottles, offering both functionality and visual appeal. The Bottle Protector uses corrugated material to match the protective qualities of polystyrene foam for glass bottles, with a 77% reduction in storage space and 100% recyclability.
The Display Guard features a special folding system, double walls, and corner wedges, which provide strength and reduce storage space by 88%.
The 3-in-1 Separator is an eco-friendly packaging solution that replaces polystyrene foam in boiler shipments. It offers stabilizing, protecting, and storing functions while reducing storage space by 65%.
The BeerCool Box is a fully recyclable corrugated cardboard packaging for beer bottles. When opened, it transforms into a practical ice container, ensuring beers are chilled without leakage.
