Novvia Group acquires Florida beauty packaging supplier APC Packaging to strengthen consumer segment

The APC acquisition adds a dedicated beauty packaging capability, serving a sector with different customer requirements: shorter lead times, lower minimum order quantities, and a greater emphasis on aesthetics and texture than industrial packaging.

USA – Novvia Group has acquired APC Packaging, a Florida-based supplier of plastic and glass containers for premium skincare and cosmetics, adding to Novvia’s beauty and personal care presence.

Terms of the deal have not been made public.

APC Packaging was established in 2006 and works with startups, independent beauty labels, and multinational beauty companies, bringing together design, engineering, and manufacturing resources to develop packaging for the market.

APC Packaging’s primary owners Lisa and Christina Lin will continue to manage the business and run day-to-day operations.

Strategic Fit for Novvia

Novvia operates as a distributor of rigid containers and life sciences packaging, serving industrial and pharmaceutical customers.

The APC acquisition adds a dedicated beauty packaging capability, serving a sector with different customer requirements: shorter lead times, lower minimum order quantities, and a greater emphasis on aesthetics and texture than industrial packaging.

The beauty packaging market has grown as independent brands have proliferated, each requiring custom bottles, jars, pumps, and caps that multinational suppliers often will not produce at startup volumes.

APC’s ability to serve both startups and established brands fills a gap in Novvia’s portfolio.

Continuity of Leadership

Lisa Lin commented that APC Packaging looks forward to leveraging Novvia’s scale, relationships, and expertise to enhance product offerings, expand services, and deliver greater value to customers.

By keeping the existing management team in place, Novvia retains the customer relationships and supplier knowledge that APC has built over nearly two decades.

Christina Lin’s continued involvement ensures that design and engineering decisions remain with the team that understands beauty brand requirements.

Building a Beauty Packaging Platform

Novvia CEO Bob Boucher commented that APC is an excellent company that fits well within Novvia’s growing consumer segment, and that the company looks forward to partnering with Lisa and her team to build on their growth momentum while leveraging the combined strengths of the organisation to scale its beauty packaging platform.

The acquisition follows Novvia’s purchase of Garrett Hewitt International a year ago, which added personal care packaging capabilities.

Together, the two acquisitions give Novvia a platform to serve beauty and personal care brands across packaging formats, from lip gloss tubes to lotion pumps to glass bottles.

A Distributor’s Pivot

A distributor of industrial containers acquiring a beauty packaging supplier is not a lateral move, it is a strategic pivot.

Novvia is betting that the margins, repeat orders, and brand loyalty of beauty packaging will offset the volatility of industrial and pharmaceutical markets.

For APC, the deal provides access to Novvia’s procurement scale and customer network without losing the leadership that built the business.
