Printpanache Packaging Solutions introduces new slitter-rewinder system

INDIA – Indian company Printpanache Packaging Solutions (PPS) has upgraded its manufacturing capabilities by installing a Rhyguan SMART-450 slitter-rewinder system, supplied by Flexo Image Graphics. 

The advanced machine, designed for high-speed slitting and rewinding, features a 450mm web width and a reinspection capability of up to 300 meters per minute, enabling efficient processing of large material rolls.

According to PPS managing partner Shashwat Bansal, “We are extremely excited and satisfied with the performance of this high-speed machine. Its Luster camera impeccably detects and rejects defects, adding value to our customers’ products.” 

The system’s automated fault detection halts defective labels on the inspection table, allowing operators to address issues promptly, thereby enhancing productivity.

Equipped with advanced servo technology, the machine provides precise web control by independently adjusting tension for unwind and rewind sections. 

Its high-precision slitting knives can handle a variety of materials, making it suitable for diverse applications across industries such as food and beverage, personal care, household goods, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.

 PPS, with over 30 years of experience, also produces promotional materials like posters, brochures, and pamphlets.

In a statement, Bansal highlighted the machine’s user-friendly design and its ability to meet customer demands efficiently. 

He also praised the after-sales support from Flexo Image Graphics, noting plans to acquire another Rhyguan machine in the coming months due to its performance and the supplier’s reliable service.

Recent industry developments indicate growing adoption of the Rhyguan SMART-450 in India.

For instance, Delhi-based Vee Kay Industries recently invested in a similar system to standardize quality across its flexo presses, according to a report by a packaging news outlet.

This trend highlights the machine’s cost-effectiveness and advanced features, which are driving its popularity among Indian label and packaging converters.

The installation of the Rhyguan SMART-450 at PPS is expected to enhance production efficiency and quality, enabling the company to better serve its diverse clientele.
