Savoye appoints Hakim Ramadan as new Middle East GM as logistics market grows 7.9%

Ramadan’s experience integrating automation solutions positions Savoye to help customers bridge the gap between packaging design and material handling equipment.

MIDDLE EAST – Savoye has appointed Hakim Ramadan as General Manager of Savoye Middle East, tasking him with leading regional operations as the Middle East logistics market is projected to grow at a 7.9 percent CAGR through 2028.

Ramadan brings approximately three decades of experience in intralogistics, automation, and business development.

Prior to joining Savoye, he served as Director & Partner at Miebach Consulting in the UAE and held senior leadership roles at Jungheinrich, including Managing Director of Jungheinrich Lift Truck Middle East and Regional Director for MENA.

He also served as Managing Director of BITO Storage Systems Middle East.

Why This Appointment Matters for Packaging and Supply Chains

The Middle East’s logistics market expansion has direct implications for packaging and supply chain operations.

As warehouses automate, demand increases for packaging compatible with automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and conveyor networks.

Packaging formats must withstand higher stacking, faster handling, and automated palletizing without failure.

Ramadan’s experience integrating automation solutions positions Savoye to help customers bridge the gap between packaging design and material handling equipment.

Massimiliano Fochetti, Chief Sales Officer at Savoye, explained that the Middle East represents a key growth market for Savoye, and Ramadan’s appointment marks an important step in accelerating expansion across the region.

He noted that Ramadan’s proven track record in automation and intralogistics will enable Savoye to deliver greater value to customers.

A Three-Decade Career in Intralogistics

Ramadan’s career spans warehouse automation, lift truck manufacturing, storage systems, and logistics consulting.

This breadth of experience across the intralogistics value chain positions him to understand customer pain points from multiple angles.

For packaging professionals, the link is critical: the warehouses where packaged goods are stored, picked, and shipped are increasingly automated, and those automation systems impose specific requirements on the packaging they handle.

Scaling a Regional Footprint

Since expanding into the Middle East market in 2021, Savoye has established a growing footprint by combining automation, software, and packaging to deliver tailored intralogistics solutions.

Ramadan stated that he is pleased to join Savoye at an important time for the logistics and supply chain sector in the Middle East, noting that the region continues to see growing demand for more agile, efficient, and future-ready intralogistics operations.
