swop 2025 will serve as a central hub for innovation, networking, and business development in Asia’s rapidly growing packaging and processing sector.
CHINA – The Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) 2025 is set to return this November, reaffirming its role as a critical gateway to the Asian packaging market.
Scheduled from 25 to 27 November at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, the event is expected to draw over 950 exhibitors and more than 40,000 professionals from over 100 countries.
Organized by the Interpack Alliance, swop 2025 will serve as a central hub for innovation, networking, and business development in Asia’s rapidly growing packaging and processing sector.
The exhibition spans the entire supply chain and showcases the latest trends, technologies, and sustainable solutions in packaging for industries including food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and consumer goods.
“Person-to-person contact is of vital importance for business relationships in China. If you’re not doing business locally, you can’t do business here at all,” said Thomas Dohse, Director of interpack.
“Swop is increasingly becoming a must-attend event in the Chinese processing and packaging market.”
Backed by the interpack alliance’s global network, swop offers unparalleled exposure and strategic advantages for both local and international participants.
In 2024, the event received high praise, with 98% of exhibitors and 95% of visitors expressing satisfaction.
One major attraction for global players is the “International Pavilion,” which offers a streamlined presence with high visibility and guided visitor routes that enhance direct engagement with buyers. Among the returning exhibitors is KOCH Pac-Systeme.
“We’re excited to return to swop 2025 to showcase our modular and tailored machine solutions,” said Darren Ding, Sales Manager China at KOCH Pac-Systeme. “Our Packaging Competence Center will also be on full display.”
Innovation-focused special zones
Swop 2025’s dynamic supporting programme aims to spark industry-wide transformation. Highlights include the Smart Packaging Zone, Green Power Zone, and the expanded FMCG Infinity Zone—a curated platform for fast-moving consumer goods brands to explore packaging design, materials, and supply chain innovations.
The SAVE FOOD Forum, a collaboration between Messe Düsseldorf, FAO China, UNIDO, and the World Packaging Organization (WPO), will return to spotlight packaging’s role in combating food loss and waste
Another anticipated highlight is the Women in Packaging forum, which celebrates female leadership in the industry and fosters international dialogue around inclusion, equity, and innovation.
With its mix of high-level content, influential attendees, and robust networking opportunities, swop 2025 promises to be a launchpad for global brands seeking a foothold in the dynamic Asian packaging landscape.
