CHINA – Global packaging leader Sidel has equipped China Resources C’estbon Beverage Co. Ltd (C’estbon Beverage) with an innovative complete-line packaging solution to support its expansion in large-format water production.

Featuring Sidel’s latest EvoBLOW XL blower in a Combi configuration, the new lines can produce 12,000 4.5L or 6L bottles per hour, reinforcing C’estbon Beverage’s position as an innovator in the packaged water market.

To date, C’estbon Beverage has sold over 130 billion bottles of water. The demand for large bottled water in China is strong, with this segment expected to see a 5.9 percent compound annual growth rate.

To meet this growing consumer trend, C’estbon Beverage partnered with Sidel, a global provider of packaging solutions for beverages, food, home, and personal care products, to create a customized solution.

By installing Sidel’s Combi complete line, which includes the EvoBLOW XL, SF100 Filler, EvoDECO labeller, conveyors, packer, and PalLinear palletiser, production capacity has surged to 12,000 4.5L or 6L bottles per hour.

Yan Quan, GM of C’estbon Beverage (Yixing), commented, “Our collaboration with Sidel dates back nine years. We trust Sidel to develop bespoke solutions that enhance product quality and sustainability. We are very pleased with the capabilities and results from Sidel’s EvoBLOW XL blower in Combi configuration.”

It features flexible oven configurations and a variety of bottleneck dimensions, showcasing its adaptability to handle diverse large bottle types.

EvoBLOW XL achieves high production efficiency with market-leading outputs of up to 18,000 bottles per hour (bph) and 98 percent proven Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Its user-friendly design ensures efficient changeovers and flexibility. The ergonomic embedded mold handling tool simplifies and ensures the safe positioning of heavy molds.

Recently, Sidel introduced Qual-IS, a digitally intelligent solution that integrates all activities related to packaging quality control, including laboratory, traceability, and sampling.

Qual-IS™ is a pioneering approach to quality management, focusing on driving quality rather than merely monitoring it.

Over 80% of grocery companies cite significant or catastrophic financial risk from product recalls, with nearly 60% affected by recalls in the past five years. For these companies, quality control and food safety are paramount.
