Truvant acquires Multi-Pak to enhance supplement, healthcare packaging

Truvant’s healthcare packaging expansion continues with the acquisition, creating a stronger platform for innovation and scale in serving top consumer brands.

USA – Truvant has acquired Multi-Pak Packaging, a New Jersey-based contract packager, adding over 250 million bottles and more than 500 million blister packs in annual capacity for vitamins, supplements, and OTC healthcare products, as the company expands its position in the high-growth nutritional and wellness packaging sector.

The acquisition, announced on 31 August 2026, brings Multi-Pak’s facility in West Caldwell, New Jersey, into Truvant’s existing network of six campuses across North America and Europe.

Multi-Pak operates more than 180,000 square feet of packaging space and holds FDA registration, cGMP compliance, and certifications including NSF, Organic, Gluten Free and Kosher.

The company also packages Class 1 medical devices and beauty and personal care products, and offers secondary services such as cartoning, kitting, display assembly, sourcing, procurement and warehousing.

250 Million Bottles and 500 Million Blisters Expand Healthcare Packaging Capacity

Multi-Pak’s bottling capacity of more than 250 million bottles annually and blister packaging capacity of more than 500 million blisters per year for tablets, caplets and softgels significantly increases Truvant’s production capabilities.

The acquisition also brings pouching and sachet capabilities, along with a dedicated probiotics centre built around cold chain handling.

With consumer demand for vitamins, supplements and functional health products continuing to rise, the acquisition positions Truvant to serve a broader range of health and wellness brands with expanded packaging and co-manufacturing capabilities.

The packaging of VMS and OTC products continues to evolve, with increasing emphasis on child-resistant, senior-friendly and tamper-evident features, areas where Multi-Pak has built significant expertise and capacity.

The integration of Multi-Pak’s cold chain capabilities for probiotics also aligns with the growing market for refrigerated dietary supplements, where packaging must maintain product integrity throughout the distribution chain.

Customer-First Culture and Scale Drive Combined Offering

Truvant CEO Stew Atkinson stated that Multi-Pak strengthens the company’s capabilities in attractive, high-growth end markets while expanding the value delivered to customers, adding that Multi-Pak’s customer-first culture and operational expertise make it an excellent fit.

Multi-Pak founder John Culligan noted that becoming part of a larger global network gives the company the scale to serve customers better and creates new opportunities for employees while expanding capabilities and resources.

Multi-Pak will continue operating from its West Caldwell facility as part of Truvant, ensuring continuity for customers while expanding access to Truvant’s broader capabilities, operational footprint and packaging expertise.

The acquisition follows Truvant’s growth strategy of expanding its capabilities in attractive healthcare packaging segments, with the combined entity now better positioned to support leading consumer brands with meaningful innovation and greater scale.
