Magma signs US$84.4M LOIs to supply packaging materials

~70% LOI pipeline execution in FY27 = revenue visibility; pipeline shows deeper manufacturer ties, localised solution demand.

INDIA – Magma has signed Letters of Intent worth more than ₹800 crore (US$84.4 million), signalling expanding demand from enterprise manufacturers across advanced materials, with packaging customers featuring prominently in its client base.

The company expects to execute around 70 percent of its current LOI pipeline in FY27, giving it revenue visibility for the remainder of the financial year.

The pipeline also underscores deeper relationships with large manufacturers and growing demand for localised industrial solutions.

Magma currently serves more than 200 active factories across India, including over 110 large enterprise and conglomerate customers.

Its customer base includes Reliance, JB Group, Birla Group, Indorama Group, RSWM Ltd, Uflex Ltd, Chiripal Group, Alliance Group, Dodhia Industries, Ganesha Ecosphere and Dalmia Industries, alongside more than 100 other large industrial conglomerates spanning chemicals, ceramics, plastics, polymers and packaging.

Advanced Materials Demand Tied to Packaging Performance

India’s advanced materials and specialty chemicals market, valued at more than US$200 billion, is seeing manufacturers increasingly prioritise high-performance inputs that can improve production efficiency, quality and consistency across ceramics, polymers, packaging and other industrial applications.

Magma’s Advanced Materials business continues to see demand for performance materials, compounds and specialty products aimed at improving production quality and consistency, inputs that directly affect packaging film performance, barrier properties and printability.

Traceable Recycled Feedstock Becomes Procurement Requirement

Magma Green is also seeing rising demand for clean, sorted and traceable recycled industrial feedstock as manufacturers seek cost-effective and sustainable alternatives to virgin materials.

The shift is driven by both government mandates and the requirements of global customers.

India’s recycling market is valued at US$23.7 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach US$62.6 billion by 2035, with tightening Extended Producer Responsibility mandates increasingly making traceable recycled feedstock a core procurement requirement rather than simply a sustainability consideration.

For packaging converters, verified recycled content supports compliance with EPR obligations and customer specifications.

Precision Engineering Addresses Import Dependence

India’s industrial business-to-business trade is estimated at around US$2 trillion.

In precision engineering, imports account for 60 to 65 percent of high-value component consumption, creating an annual gap of more than ₹20,000 crore (US$2.11 billion) that organised domestic suppliers are positioned to address.

Magma Engineering is seeing strong demand for indigenisation and supply of critical components and precision-engineered parts, particularly where component availability can directly affect factory uptime.

Neal Thakker, founder and chief executive of Magma, said the company was seeing the beginning of a compounding flywheel, where solving a critical problem earned trust and created opportunities to address more customer needs, adding that the focus was to scale with discipline and remain capital efficient.
