Lombardi installs Invicta i1 800 flexo press at All Pack Yemen for flexible packaging production

YEMEN – Lombardi Converting Machinery has installed an Invicta i1 800 flexographic press at All Pack Yemen for Printing in Taiz, expanding the Italian manufacturer’s presence in the Middle East’s flexible packaging sector and enabling the converter to enhance production capacity despite regional challenges.

The fully servo-driven Invicta i1 800 platform, which is now operational at YCPMI in Taiz, is designed to deliver high print quality, production flexibility and rapid job changeovers across a wide range of flexible packaging applications. 

The installation reinforces Lombardi’s commitment to supporting converters throughout the Middle East with advanced flexographic printing technologies that combine automation and repeatability with a modular architecture.

The installation comes as manufacturers across the Middle East continue to navigate supply chain disruptions and geopolitical instability affecting the region. 

All Pack Yemen’s decision to invest in the Invicta i1 800 demonstrates a long-term commitment to expanding production capabilities and maintaining operational continuity in a challenging business environment. 

Designed and manufactured in Italy, the mid-web press is built for modern flexible packaging production, enabling converters to configure the system according to changing market requirements while supporting faster job changes and greater manufacturing flexibility. 

The press also adopts DC bus technology, which recovers energy generated by motors in negative torque and reuses it within the circuit, improving overall efficiency and reducing environmental impact.

Lombardi’s Middle East Expansion and Flexible Packaging Market Growth

The installation represents a significant milestone in Lombardi’s international expansion, adding to the company’s portfolio of more than 1,500 installations worldwide and strengthening its foothold in the growing Middle East flexible packaging market. 

The Middle East flexible packaging market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of over 4 percent through 2030, driven by rising demand for packaged food and beverages, increasing e-commerce activity, and a shift toward sustainable packaging solutions.

The Invicta i1 800 installation in Yemen expands Lombardi’s reference base in the Middle East, joining previous installations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, and positioning the company as a key supplier of flexographic printing technology in the region.
