The newly operational production facility builds on that initial footprint, now producing both standard and customised industrial packaging solutions for automotive, food, and agriculture sectors.

MOROCCO – Boxon has established a local warehouse and production facility in Morocco, now fully operational, following its September 2025 announcement of a new office and warehouse in the country to support the region’s rapidly growing automotive industry.
In September 2025, the Swedish packaging company announced its expansion into Morocco with a new office and warehouse, aiming to strengthen its local presence and support the automotive sector.
Linus Lemark, CEO of Boxon Group, stated at the time that establishing a local presence in Morocco would strengthen the company’s position in one of the world’s most dynamic automotive markets, enabling Boxon to combine regional sourcing with European expertise.
Production Facility Now Operational
The newly operational production facility builds on that initial footprint, now producing both standard and customised industrial packaging solutions for automotive, food, and agriculture sectors.
The setup reduces dependency on long-distance supply chains while enabling closer collaboration with customers in the region.
Lemark explained that with operations now up and running in Morocco, the company can support customers with locally produced solutions that improve efficiency and reduce dependency on long-distance supply chains.
By manufacturing closer to the point of use, Boxon eliminates the lead times and freight costs associated with shipping finished packaging from European production sites.
For automotive customers operating just-in-time assembly lines, local packaging supply reduces inventory carrying costs and the risk of production stoppages due to delayed shipments.
Morocco has emerged as a major automotive hub, with the sector leading the country’s exports and creating over 116,000 jobs, according to industry data.
A Single-Supplier Model for Packaging Needs
In addition to industrial packaging, Boxon offers a range of packaging consumables including stretch film, plastic returnable boxes, and tape, providing customers a single-supplier option for their packaging needs.
This consolidates procurement, reducing the number of vendors that customers must manage while ensuring consistent quality across all packaging inputs.
Lemark noted that the company’s ambition is to be a long-term partner to customers in Morocco, offering not just products but complete packaging solutions that support their growth.
The expansion marks an important milestone in Boxon’s global growth strategy and reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting key industries worldwide with local expertise, strong partnerships, and sustainable packaging solutions.
