Ardagh Glass Packaging extends Stanpac supply deal for refillable bottles

The arrangement covers Volleman’s 32oz refillable milk bottle and Straus Family Creamery’s half-gallon organic jug, both made by Ardagh Glass Packaging and supplied by Stanpac.

USA – Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America has renewed its supply agreement with Stanpac, maintaining a partnership that provides American-made glass packaging to food and dairy companies across the United States.

The companies have worked together for more than a decade.

Products supplied under the arrangement include Volleman’s Family Farm 32-ounce refillable milk bottle and Straus Family Creamery’s half-gallon organic milk jug.

Ardagh Glass Packaging manufactures both products, with Stanpac supplying them to customers.

Stanpac was established in 1949 and supplies packaging for the North American dairy, food and beverage industries, having supplied and printed glass milk bottles and closures for more than 40 years.

Refillable Formats Support Producer Responsibility Goals

Ardagh Glass Packaging has manufactured recyclable glass bottles in the United States for more than 125 years.

Its products include glass bottles and jars available in different colours, sizes, styles and finishes.

Refillable glass formats align with extended producer responsibility regulations by reducing single-use container volumes and supporting return systems, since glass can be sanitised and refilled repeatedly without material degradation.

Leadership Cites Supply Reliability and Adaptability

Cam Simmons, vice president of bottle decorating at Stanpac, said demand in the dairy industry naturally had ebbs and flows, and Ardagh had consistently worked with the company to respond to those changes and ensure supply.

He added that Ardagh’s commitment to producing high-quality, North American made glass milk bottles, along with willingness to adapt and work closely with Stanpac’s team, had been an important part of the company’s ability to meet customer needs.

Sales Vice President Highlights Shelf Life and Differentiation

Thaddeus Luebbers, sales vice president at Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America, said the partnership with Stanpac reflected a shared commitment to supporting food and dairy brands with refillable glass packaging that preserved product taste and extended shelf life.

He added that the company was proud to continue manufacturing glass containers helping Stanpac’s customers differentiate their products while advancing refillable packaging programmes and sustainability goals, including those associated with extended producer responsibility regulations.

For dairy producers, glass remains a preferred format where taste preservation and premium positioning matter, and refillable programmes offer a route to reduce packaging waste while maintaining the presentation consumers associate with quality milk products.
