
UK – Loma Systems has appointed Samantha Neves as its first global marketing director, signaling a strategic effort to bolster its global marketing footprint.
Neves brings over 16 years of marketing and strategic experience from Shell, where she established industry thought leadership and drove sustainable differentiation in the Lubricants, Commercial, and Aviation Fuels sectors.
At Loma, she will prioritize advancing the company’s marketing through three key pillars: Customer Back Innovation (CBI), Continuous Improvement (CI), and Marketing Excellence (M/Ex).
Her leadership will focus on enhancing customer-focused innovation in Loma’s inspection technologies for food quality and safety, driving product development to meet client needs while improving operational and marketing efficiencies.
Macpac welcomes Andy Cutler as sales engineer for food markets
Independent thermoformed packaging specialist Macpac has appointed Andy Cutler as sales engineer, with a primary focus on the food market.
Cutler brings over 20 years of experience in business development and thermoformed packaging. Commenting on his new role, he said, “Macpac has an incredible 50-year legacy and is highly respected in the thermoforming industry.
“Despite challenges in the plastics sector, I am confident in our ability to grow and strengthen our position across various markets.”

JDO appoints Ben Sillence as UK Head of Strategy
Independent brand design agency JDO has named Ben Sillence as its UK head of strategy, based in the London studio.
Sillence will collaborate with Ed Silk, JDO’s global head of strategy, to further the agency’s strategic vision, “Creating Belief.”
Sillence previously served as director of strategy at Lewis Moberly, where he led a landmark global campaign for Appleton Estate’s 17-Year-Old Limited Edition Rum.
His career also includes senior design and innovation roles at Mars Wrigley, managing iconic brands like Dove Galaxy and Maltesers, and serving as head of strategy at Path.
Silk praised Sillence’s versatility, “Ben combines creative insight with analytical precision, making him an outstanding strategist. His expertise will propel JDO to new heights, delivering on our mission to ‘Create Belief.’”
