SPAIN – Saica Group, a leading company in packaging solutions, has officially appointed Susana Alejandro as the president, succeeding Ramón Alejandro, who led the company for the past 14 years.
Susana’s appointment, as a member of the third generation of the founding families, marks a historic moment as the first woman to hold the top position at Saica.
In her inaugural address to company stakeholders, Susana made it clear that her leadership would be marked by continuity, maintaining the company’s strategic direction.
“As family business, we have a clear long-term vision and, therefore, succession in presidency does not necessarily imply a change in strategy,” she noted.
“Our course variations are dictated only by the requirements of our customers and market fluctuations.”
Susana highlighted the critical need to tackle climate change, advocating for reforming production and consumption models and bolstering Saica’s commitment to a circular economy.
She also stressed the importance of developing innovative tools to support the company’s strategic objectives.
