AUSTRIA – Austrian packaging manufacturer packit! has upgraded its production capabilities by acquiring a complete BOBST MASTERCUT 1.65 PER die-cutting line.
This investment allows packit! to process diverse corrugated board products, streamlining its production planning.
The MASTERCUT 1.65 PER line is designed to handle large-size cardboard and robust corrugated sheets while also being gentle enough for litho-printed surfaces with varnish. It is currently the only market solution for blanking in size VII.
Packit! selected this die-cutter due to its fast setup times and high automation level. The machine is equipped with a FLAT TRACK and PALLETIZER, enabling batches with stripped and blanked blanks to be palletized in various patterns.
Walter Freimüller, CEO and co-founder of packit!, stated, “These machines are incredibly flexible, allowing us to adapt to our production requirements.
“Our engineers are constantly innovating new types of cardboard packaging, and combining their expertise with the flexibility of the BOBST equipment provides a unique selling proposition for the market.”
Operating from one of Europe’s most modern production facilities, packit! Specializes in E flute, F flute, and laminated double-wall materials.
The company also operates two automated warehouses with a capacity of 53,000 pallets. This latest investment will enable packit! to continue serving the food industry with high-quality offset laminated corrugated board solutions.
Marco Lideo, head of the BOBST product line DSF LLAM, added, “Packit!’s reputation for supplying high-quality corrugated packaging with fast turnaround speeds is well-known, and their recent investment in our MASTERCUT 1.65 PER will further enhance this capability.”
Recently, Surya Fresh Foods, a subsidiary of Surya Food & Agro, invested in BOBST NOVACUT 106 E Autoplaten die-cutter.
This move is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency in its packaging operations.
In 2014, Surya Fresh Foods installed the BOBST NOVACUT 106 E, a BOBST folder-gluer, and other machinery for its in-house print and packaging production.
The latest upgrade to the flatbed die-cutter includes a non-stop feeder and a machine elevation system specifically tailored for biscuit carton output.
Surya Fresh Foods director Shrey Agarwal said, “With these upgrades, we’ve revolutionized our BOBST machine, successfully enhancing its capabilities and addressing our previous operational limitations.
“These enhancements have significantly increased production speed, allowing for a continuous workflow and a substantial boost in output.”
