Dantex appoints group managing director, JDO appoints new MD at New York studio

UK – Digital label press manufacturer Dantex Group has promoted Richard Bunney, its UK managing director, to group managing director.

Bunney has been pivotal in overseeing all UK activities, including Dantex’s digital division based in Corby-Northants and Bradford’s analogue and consumables business.

He will also manage the group’s subsidiary companies and foreign markets in his new role.

“Continuing to lead such a talented team and managing a dynamic product portfolio is a source of great pride for me. I look forward to further developing and driving the company’s progress,” said Bunney.

Ben Danon, Dantex Group chief executive, added, “Richard has been instrumental in advancing Dantex’s UK company, consistently embodying the core values and philosophies that define the company.

“Under his leadership, Dantex Graphics has experienced robust growth and development, with a strategy that can now be deployed across our Group. I am thoroughly looking forward to supporting Richard in his new role.”

JDO names new MD at New York Studio

Meanwhile, global brand design agency JDO has appointed Laura Bird as managing director of JDO NY. Bird will lead the agency’s North American operations, focusing on growth and expanding the agency’s client portfolio across the region.

With over 14 years of experience in top-tier global agencies, Bird previously served as head of business operations in North America at Design Bridge, where she led the integration following the agency’s acquisition by WPP and merger with Superunion.

Bird has worked with major global brands such as Diageo, Reckitt, Suntory, and Mastercard. At JDO, she will handle accounts including Pernod Ricard, Unilever, Mizkan America, Edgewell, and Schick US.

“I’m thrilled to join JDO at this exciting moment,” Bird said. “It’s a chance to collaborate with a team that champions jaw-dropping creativity with an entrepreneurial spirit. JDO NY is on the brink of an exhilarating new chapter, and I can’t wait to dive in, drive growth, and make an impact.”
