Ardagh Glass introduces Absolut Mosaik Vodka bottle; Sensodyne collaborates with Marks for Clinical White toothpaste

UK – Ardagh Glass Packaging-Europe (AGP-Europe), an operating business of Ardagh Group, annually partners with The Absolut Group to craft the limited-edition Absolut vodka bottle.

The latest addition to this lineup, Absolut Mosaik, is the result of a collaboration with British artist Olly Alexander, known for his work as a singer, songwriter, actor, and social activist.

Featuring a striking ribbed design within the glass, the 70cl and 1-liter Absolut Mosaik bottles showcase a concave label area adorned with a bold mosaic pattern and Absolut branding.

AGP-Europe employed 3D software to create a series of ribs and fins across the glass surface, complemented by sculptured embossing to seamlessly integrate the design along the bottle’s part line.

Katharina Chemnitz, AGP-Europe Product Designer, discusses the challenge of blending the label area into the bottle’s curvature: “The front label, serving as the main print area for the mosaic design, originally protruded from the bottle, posing a potential issue on the production line.

“To address this, the label area was meticulously engineered within a concave, curved surface, seamlessly framed by the surrounding rib design.”

Deb Dasgupta, Global Vice President Marketing at Absolut Vodka, highlights the significance of Absolut Mosaik within the brand’s ethos: “As part of the Born to Mix brand values, Absolut Mosaik represents Absolut’s ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity.

“Rooted in Absolut’s DNA, it invites everyone to foster positive change by connecting beyond differences. The vibrant, colorful bottle, designed by the talented Olly Alexander, perfectly embodies this spirit and underscores our interconnectedness in society.”

Sensodyne launches Clinical White toothpaste working with Marks

Meanwhile, Sensodyne has launched Clinical White, a new premium range extension, in collaboration with global agency Marks.

The aim of this release is to broaden the product’s appeal to a wider audience experiencing teeth sensitivity.

Marks ensured that every aspect of the design conveyed Clinical White’s unique proposition while being meaningful and distinctive.

Leveraging a nuanced understanding of both scientific language and aesthetics, the design strategy employs attractive visuals and premium print finishes, incorporating the iconic Sensodyne ‘S’ redrawn in a signature version that divides the pack horizontally to emphasize the product’s key benefits.

James Houghton, Global Senior Design Director at Sensodyne owner Haleon, emphasizes the importance of creating a holistic and future-proof design that aligns with the brand’s premium positioning.

Matt Kerr, Executive Creative Director at Marks, underscores the design’s shelf standout while celebrating the product’s premium attributes, positioning it alongside categories like beauty, perfume, and wellness products in the bathroom environment.
