GLOBAL – Aura and Sun Branding have launched Aura Global, a consultancy division integrating brand, technology, consultancy, and insights to help retailers and brands navigate packaging strategy, regulation, and operational performance.
The business is led by managing director Greg Lawson and integrates four connected capabilities under a single structure.
Aura Global’s Brand division spans creative, colour, graphics, and legal expertise designed to protect, elevate, and enhance brand value on shelf and across global portfolios.
Its Technology capability includes proprietary platforms such as e-flow and e-halo.

Why Packaging Has Become a Leadership Issue
Once treated as a production output, packaging now sits at the centre of brand growth, positive impact, regulatory exposure, and operational performance.
For retailers and brand owners, packaging decisions affect supply chain costs, compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility fees, consumer perception of sustainability, and shelf appeal.
A packaging change that reduces material weight by 10 percent might save thousands in EPR fees but could also compromise brand perception if the pack feels cheaper.
Aura Global’s integrated model is designed to manage those trade-offs within a single engagement rather than across disconnected agencies.
Addressing a Fragmented Market
Lawson explained that the packaging equation has never been so complex for retailers and brands operating in a fast-moving marketplace, influenced by an evolving supply chain, rapid legislative change, and a more discerning consumer.
He noted that what retailers and brands increasingly need is not more disconnected services, but an integrated programme that manages those decisions as a whole, adding that they need upstream partners for future-ready sustainable packaging who can shape direction before complexity and total cost of goods are locked in.
Proprietary Technology Platforms
E-flow and e-halo, Aura Global’s proprietary platforms, suggest artwork management (e-flow) and carbon or sustainability impact tracking (e-halo).
For global brand owners managing thousands of SKUs across multiple markets, artwork approval and regulatory compliance are among the most labour-intensive and error-prone steps in the packaging development process.
Integrated technology platforms that connect creative design to regulatory databases and supply chain systems reduce the risk of non-compliance and speed time-to-market.
