Valmet to supply fifth advantage tissue line to Lila Group in Turkey
In other developments, Valmet has secured an order to supply a complete Advantage DCT 200 tissue production line to Lila Group for its new mill in Erzurum, eastern Turkey.
This marks the fifth such delivery from Valmet to Lila Group, following four successful installations at its Çorlu site in Tekirdağ.
The new TM 5 line will feature comprehensive stock preparation, a Focus Reelite 25 ENS rewinder, and Valmet’s hallmark automation systems—aimed at maximizing production efficiency and minimizing energy consumption.
The project is slated for start-up in 2026. Although the order value remains undisclosed, it was booked in Valmet’s Q1 2025 orders.
“We have enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Lila Group and are honored to support the next phase of their growth,” said Björn Magnus, Sales Director, EMEA, Paper business line, Valmet.
“Delivering to a brand-new site in Erzurum is a significant milestone.”
The new tissue production line will feature the Valmet Advantage DCT 200 machine, known for its high efficiency, reliability, and ability to produce high-quality tissue products.
It incorporates advanced components such as the ViscoNip press, which enhances energy efficiency and product softness, a Yankee Dryer for effective drying performance, and a SoftReel reel for improved paper winding and handling.
To ensure optimal process control and product quality, the line will be equipped with a comprehensive automation package.
This includes the Valmet DNA Distributed Control System (DCS) for centralized monitoring and control, the Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS) for consistent quality assurance, and the Valmet IQ Softness Measurement tool to maintain product softness and comfort.
In terms of specifications, the machine will have a width of 5.6 meters and a design speed of 2,200 meters per minute, positioning it among the most productive tissue machines in the region.
Once operational, the new line will add an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons, serving both the domestic and export markets.
This installation reaffirms Valmet’s strong position as a leading supplier of advanced tissue production technology and highlights its ongoing role in supporting the growth of sustainable tissue production in the region.
