INDIA — Canon India has expanded its professional print portfolio with the launch of the ImageForce 8100 Series, a new generation of high-volume monochrome production printers designed for jobbers, copy shops, book publishers, and commercial print environments.
The lineup includes three models, ImageForce 8105, 8195 and 8186, engineered to meet rising demand in a market valued in the tens to hundreds of billions of dollars globally, driven by growth in packaging, publishing, education, and commercial print applications.
The new ImageForce 8100 Series adds a dedicated monochrome light-production line to Canon’s existing range, bridging the gap between office-based print devices and high-capacity production engines.
The printers deliver 2,400×2,400 dpi resolution, enhanced laser imaging accuracy, improved media versatility, and increased feeder capacity, allowing users to handle everything from lightweight duplex stocks to heavy coated media and extended-length banners.
Canon says the new models redefine black-and-white output quality through sharper text, improved halftones, and cleaner reproduction of fine graphics.
For print service providers and copy shops, this translates to the ability to take on a more diverse portfolio of higher-value jobs without needing multiple devices.
The printers are engineered for real-world production challenges, offering enlarged banner support and reliable coated media handling, which are increasingly important for book-on-demand workflows, transactional communications, manuals, and commercial print applications.
Toshiaki Nomura, President and CEO of Canon India, said the launch aligns with the company’s broader strategy to support India’s fast-evolving production print ecosystem, “The ImageForce 8100 series delivers the precision, reliability and media versatility businesses need to grow.
“We are empowering print providers with technology that elevates quality, expands service capability, and supports long-term business transformation.”
Puneet Datta, Senior Director, Commercial & Industrial Printing, highlighted the system’s automation strengths, “A standout feature is AI-assisted smart maintenance, which predicts the lifespan of parts and enables proactive servicing to reduce downtime.
“Combined with Canon’s advanced print quality and ability to handle coated stocks, envelopes and long-format banners, the 8100 series empowers customers to take on more high-value projects with confidence.”
Datta added that speed, precision and reliability remain non-negotiable performance metrics for modern print providers, and the 8100 series is built specifically to meet those expectations in high-demand environments.
As India’s commercial and publishing sectors continue to expand, Canon’s latest monochrome production line positions the company competitively within a growing demand segment, offering a future-ready solution designed to enhance productivity, deepen service capabilities, and improve operational scalability.
