Lamb spearheaded initiatives to scale up sustainability efforts, combat waste, and promote circular living as the standard for both businesses and consumers.
UK – Harriet Lamb, the chief executive of environmental NGO WRAP, has announced her resignation to take on the role of CEO at the Green Party of England and Wales, effective end of May.
During her tenure at WRAP, Lamb spearheaded initiatives to scale up sustainability efforts, combat waste, and promote circular living as the standard for both businesses and consumers.
Under her leadership, WRAP expanded its global footprint, establishing bases in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and the EU, while strengthening partnerships to drive systemic change in food systems, plastic waste reduction, and circular business models in textiles.
WRAP has begun the search for her successor.
Sebastian Munden, WRAP’s chair, expressed gratitude for Lamb’s contributions, stating, “We are grateful to Harriet for her dedication to WRAP.
“Her departure reflects a deeply held personal passion, and she leaves the organization in a strong position, supported by a capable management team and an engaged board of trustees.
“Our commitment to accelerating the circular economy remains steadfast, ensuring that circular living becomes the norm in every boardroom and home.”
Reflecting on her time at WRAP, Lamb said, “It has been an immense privilege to lead WRAP, and the decision to leave was not an easy one. However, the opportunity to serve as CEO of the Green Party aligns with a lifelong passion.
“WRAP is a remarkable organization, and I am confident its talented and committed team will continue to drive impactful change.”
