CHINA – Hainan Chunguang has selected Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis to enable the company to move into the beverage market through the production of coconut milk.
Hainan Chunguang becomes the first company to install a Sidel Aseptic Combi Predis in the Hainan province.
Following extensive discussions, Sidel provided its aseptic packaging and comprehensive services, along with the capability to employ dry technology instead of traditional wet aseptic solutions. In turn, the customer will be able to achieve economic and environmental sustainability targets.
Ms. Xin Yan, a board member of Hainan Chunguang, stated, “Hainan Chunguang’s decision to move into the beverage market in 2020 was the result of many years of preparation, which included product development and identifying the technical resources required to deliver the product.

Bottled in Sidel’s premium PET design in a 350ml format, Hainan Chunguang’s new installation can produce 28,000 bottles per hour (bph) and adds to the 100+ previously installed aseptic lines.
Launched on the market in 2022, coconut milk represents the latest development and expansion of Hainan Chunguang. The company has established itself as a local market leader in coconut snack food products.
Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis is suitable for packaging sensitive products, particularly those that contain natural ingredients like coconut water. Coconut water is plant-based and has low acidity, making it an ideal candidate for this packaging solution.
Sidel’s Predis aseptic filling solution, with dry preform decontamination, utilizes hydrogen peroxide mist for packaging sterilization. This ensures product integrity, production flexibility, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
The Predis ensures a safe product with an increased shelf life by utilizing no water in the process and using only a small amount of chemicals to decontaminate the preform.
Hainan Chunguang has been able to leverage Sidel’s expertise in aseptic packaging to receive comprehensive support throughout the entire production process.
Early this year, the company designed an aseptic lab filler to be situated in Yili Group‘s specially constructed facility primarily for research and development.
Compact in scale, the aseptic lab filler was designed to allow Yili to conduct research and test product designs using a limited number of bottles with various shapes and sizes.
