FINLAND – Huhtamaki has strengthened its leadership team by appointing Wilhelm Wolff as Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, effective January 13, 2025.
In this role, Wolff will also join the company’s Global Executive Team and will be based in Espoo, Finland, reporting directly to President and CEO Charles Héaulmé.
Wolff brings extensive experience from his previous position as Vice President of Feedstock & Asset Development at Neste, a Finnish leader in sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel, and feedstock solutions.
Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Neste and held several leadership roles at UPM-Kymmene, including Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at UPM Biorefining, a global forest industry company.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Charles Héaulmé said, “I am pleased to welcome Wilhelm to Huhtamaki. His vast experience in strategy development, portfolio management, and sustainability from leading Finnish companies will enhance our team.

BARA names Oliver Selby as new chair
In other leadership news, BARA (the British Automation and Robotics Association) has named Oliver Selby, FANUC UK’s Head of Sales, as its new Chair.
BARA, part of Automate UK, supports developing and adopting industrial robots and automation across various sectors, including packaging.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Selby has been a vocal advocate for automation in the UK manufacturing sector.
As Chair, Selby aims to advance BARA’s mission to increase automation adoption, addressing key challenges faced by manufacturers such as labor shortages, productivity, sustainability, and cost reduction.
He emphasized the need to communicate the benefits of automation in overcoming these challenges.
Peter Williamson, CEO of Automate UK, praised Selby’s appointment, noting, “Oliver is a passionate advocate for manufacturing and automation, and his leadership will play a key role in advancing BARA’s goals with the support of the entire committee.”
