In the new post, Caro will work with management and production staff on further expansion, operational performance, and process improvements.

USA – International PaperBox has named Jim Caro as general manager, tasking him with day-to-day operations and helping shape the company’s longer-term direction as it expands production capacity and presence, while owners Wade and Kay Holbrook remain involved in strategy and finance.
Caro has more than 30 years of experience in folding carton and packaging production. He started his career at All Packaging Company in 1994, where he worked with machinery and manufacturing processes, building experience in carton production.
He later moved into management posts, including responsibility for the company’s site in Salt Lake City, where he was involved in increasing production capacity, improving workflow, and supporting sales growth.
A Hands-On Leader for Production
Folding carton manufacturing combines high-speed converting equipment, precision die-cutting, and tight quality control.
Caro’s background on the plant floor gives him insight into the practical challenges of running converting lines, material waste, changeover downtime, and print registration accuracy.
Wade Holbrook explained that International PaperBox has always been built on strong customer relationships and a commitment to doing things right, adding that Jim’s hands-on experience and leadership make him a great fit as the company continues to grow and build on that foundation.
Expansion and Certification Goals
In the new post, Caro is working with management and production staff on further expansion, operational performance, and process improvements.
International PaperBox is also seeking ISO certification and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification as part of efforts to strengthen quality systems, consistency, and responsible packaging practices.
ISO 9001 certification would formalise quality management processes, while FSC certification would assure customers that paperboard is sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Both credentials are increasingly required by brand owners seeking to verify supply chain sustainability claims.
Caro’s Vision
Caro commented that International PaperBox has excellent people, strong capabilities, and a significant opportunity ahead.
He stated that his goal is to build on what the team has created, strengthen operations, and help position the company for its next phase of growth.
The company supplies custom folding cartons to brands and product businesses, with services including die cutting, precision printing, and specialty coatings.
As consumer goods brands face pressure to reduce packaging costs and improve sustainability, folding carton converters that can demonstrate operational excellence and responsible sourcing will have a competitive advantage.
